$932,055.39 Progressive VLT Jackpot Awarded in Aberdeen!

Aberdeen, SK – Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is pleased to announce a Vault Breaker jackpot prize awarded by the Saskatchewan VLT program. Chris Dieno of Aberdeen was awarded $932,055.39 after winning the grand jackpot on Vault Breaker at Soul Wok in Aberdeen on June 23.

“It all happened so fast!” laughed Dieno while claiming his prize. “I didn’t think I had won anything until all the lights starting flashing – I couldn’t believe it!”

The winner said he has a few ideas for his windfall, starting with a special gift.

“The very first thing I’m going to buy is a car for my beautiful girlfriend,” he said.

Dieno said he also hopes his new financial freedom will allow him to spend more time with his children.

“I’m going to try to work a little less and spend more quality time with my kids,” he explained. “I think this will help improve all of our lives!”

Vault Breaker is a wide-area progressive that links 4,200 VLTs located in approximately 570 sites in 270 communities across the province. There are three mystery jackpot tiers: the province-wide grand jackpot has a minimum value of $500,000 and pays out before it hits $1.5 million, the regional major jackpot has a minimum value of $5,000 and pays out before it hits $25,000, and the local site jackpot minimum is $100 and pays out before hitting $500. Any of the three jackpot tiers can be awarded when a patron plays Vault Breaker.

The province-wide jackpot has awarded $31,172,724.92 to 33 winners since June 2017. Vault Breaker’s province-wide grand jackpot has now been reset to $500,000.
